House District 60 is located in central and western Lyon County, Kansas. The District encompasses approximately 215 square miles. It contains two incorporated cities,Americus (2010 population of 894) and a portion of Emporia (2010 population of 24,916).
House District 60 is mostly rural in character with population concentrated primarily within the portion of the City of Emporia in the central-eastern area of the District. District 60 includes portions of 5 school districts.
